Cody Mayer is an experienced public servant and leader. Holding positions across city commissioner and mayor pro-tem with his most recent experience being the first Tribal member and youngest ever, Mayor of City of Maquette. Cody is an enrolled member of the Sault Tribe of Chippewa Indians. Previous to his council leadership roles, Cody served as vice-chair for the Marquette Brownfield Redevelopment Authority and worked in the banking industry. Cody currently works in the mining industry as a Community and Tribal Engagement Liaison. Cody also serves on the board of directors of the Baraga county chamber of commerce and is an enlisted soldier in the Michigan Army National Guard.
